JSMO-Rising Stars in Asia Workshop (JSMO-RISA Workshop) 2022

Dear all members of JSMO

 JSMO appreciated your kind understandings and cooperation to activities of JSMO.
 JSMO plans to carry out workshop program aimed to incubate/ collaborate with young Oncology physicians in Asia region. Objectives of this program which is managed by JSMO international committee are such as follows,

  • Incubate next generation leaders of Oncology Specialist in Asian region through interaction and networking
  • In terms of knowledge and skills which will not learn from daily practice, this program gives opportunity to get enrich wide covered comprehensive knowledge that may use for tomorrow treatment.
  • Provide opportunity to establish networking in audience that may reach design/ execution of international clinical trial in future

Official language of this program is English.
Target audience is planned young (under 45yo) Oncology specialist (Welcomes Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and more), 10-20 physicians from Asia region and 10-20 physicians from Japan. Selected members of this program will be award in The 19th JSMO annual meeting 2022. JSMO will be welcomed your application.

  • Date and time:Feb. 15 (Tue) – 16 (Wed) 2022 Japanese attendee will join Feb 16 only
    ※The 19th JSMO annual meeting will be held in Feb. 17(Thu) to 19(Sat) 2022
  • Venue: Hybrid of Online and On-site (Kyoto International Conference Hall)
    We hope domestic attendess would participate on-site as much as possible
  • Entry fee:free of charge
    Overseas attendees: In case of on-site participation, only travel grant awarded attendee will be covered his/ her travel cost and accommodation.
    Domestic attendees: In case of on-site participation, it will be covered your travel cost and accommodation.

【Contents of this program (Subject may have a chance of change)】

  • Learn Cancer Genomic Medicine from basics of testing to Clinical application and translational research
  • Learn topics on Cancer Immunotherapy including latest clinical trial outcomes
  • Learn how to understand the results of gene panel test, how to provide the results to your patients throughout workshop with discussion on differences of Asian countries
  • Learn comprehensive and systematic overview on design and execution of clinical trial
  • Learn systematic review to read academic papers and statically interpretation in workshop
  • Communicate other Asian country Oncology physicians by discussion and know daily practice in other Asian countries

【Qualification requirements with document screening】

■Attendee from Japan

  • Under 45y.o. at application
  • Oncology specialist (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and etc.)
  • Have a Doctor License(Graduate student is acceptable, College student is not acceptable)
  • English communication skill is required
  • JSMO membership is mandatory
  • Not required but better to apply your abstract for The 19th JSMO annual meeting 2022

■Attendee from rest of Japan

  • Asia region (Any Asian country is welcomed)
  • Under 45y.o. at application
  • Oncology specialist (Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and etc.)
  • Have a Doctor License(Graduate student is acceptable, College student is not acceptable)
  • It is not mandatory submission of abstract or given travel grant on the 19th JSMO annual meeting, but priority selection to them in case of over submissions.
  • English communication skill is required
